David Starkey (* 3. Januar 1945 in Kendal, Westmorland) ist ein britischer Historiker und Autor.
Werdegang
David Starkey hatte in einer Diskussionsrunde der BBC die Ursachen der Krawalle in England 2011 in die Nähe der „Gangster“-Kultur gerückt — Zitat: „gewaltsamen, zerstörerischen und nihilistischen’ Gang-Kultur“. Der Jude Ed Miliband bezeichnete Starkeys Aussagen daraufhin als „rassistisch“.
