Wrong map

Hello friends, sorry for speak english but I am learning german. The map is wrong, the city of Trento is not Sudtirol (that in Italy is called "Alto-Adige". Trentino Alto-Adige is divided in two provinces:

  • Trentino with Trento as capital, there always was italian language (similar to venetian language) and is not Sudtirol.
  • Alto-Adige or Sudtirol in german with Bolzano or Bozen in german as capital, this province is considered Sudtirol.

In the map all Trentino Alto-Adige is showed as Sudtirol. Hope somebody correct the map. Greetings. --MCMLXXXII 18:26, 3. Hornung (Februar) 2012 (CET)

This map doesn't show nowaday Südtirol (which is only 'Bozen-Südtirol') but the whole Tyrolean land mass which was cut from Austria in 1918. Südtirol has 2 meanings: 1. Südtirol as a whole (with Trentino; german 'Welschtirol') and 2. Südtirol as it is defined by the Italian government.

So I do not know if it will be changed. --Benutzer:Mon_Sunnach 18:34, 3. Hornung (Februar) 2012 (CET)

Now I understand, thanks for explanation. But Trentino was always inhabited by etnic italians. --MCMLXXXII 20:27, 3. Hornung (Februar) 2012 (CET)

Yes it shows the whole result of the treaty of trianon (Diktat von Trianon). Maybe someone has a map which shows South-Tyrol only. Rauhreif 18:55, 3. Hornung (Februar) 2012 (CET)

Numbers

Südtirol have 510.016 inhabitants. From these 69,15% speaks german as first language. The proportion of german speakers is growing because Südtirol have a hight fertility rate if compared with the rest of Italy [1]. Is also the biggest province in Italy with 7.399,97 km2.
